Discipline punishes Al-Maliki, warns Duhok players

Amir Al-Maliki, the head of the Al-Zora club's supporters' association, has been penalized, while two players from Duhok club have been issued warnings. This decision comes after a thorough review of the match observer's and security coordinator's reports concerning the events that transpired during the game between Al-Zora and Duhok, which concluded in a 2-2 draw.

The committee's investigation focused on an incident where a Duhok player, Murad Mohammed, made an unsportsmanlike gesture towards the Al-Zora crowd after scoring in the 88th minute. This action provoked a hostile reaction from Al-Maliki, who reportedly directed abusive language at the player. Following the match, Al-Maliki and some Al-Zora supporters verbally attacked the Duhok player before security intervened. The player subsequently filed a formal complaint, leading to the intervention of security forces and the reporting of four fans.
