Economy Official Fired Over Undeclared Miami Properties

Carlos Frugoni, a key official within the Ministry of Economy responsible for infrastructure and transport, has been unceremoniously dismissed from his government post. The reason cited for his termination is the discovery of undeclared assets in the United States, specifically at least seven properties and two commercial entities located in Miami, Florida. This revelation has cast a shadow over his tenure and raised serious questions about financial transparency within the administration.

The investigation, initially brought to light by journalistic inquiry, revealed that Frugoni allegedly controlled these Miami-based assets through two limited liability companies, Genova LLC and Waki LLC, established in Delaware in 2021 and 2025 respectively.
