Fate of 10 Malaysians Detained by Israel Unknown After Flotilla Incident

The Malaysian participants of the Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0 (GSF 2.0) are currently in an uncertain situation after being detained by Israeli authorities for 38 hours. As of May 2, 2026, the Nusantara Command Center (SNCC) has yet to receive any official confirmation about their well-being and status.

Datuk Sani Araby Abdul Alim Araby, the Director-General of SNCC, stated that the center is actively monitoring information indicating a potential release of the activists. This information suggests they might be freed at 7 a.m. Greece time, which corresponds to 12:30 p.m. in Malaysia. However, without official confirmation, the anxiety among families and the Malaysian public remains high.
