FC Midtjylland Bolsters Attack With Bundesliga Player Hong Hyun-seok

FC Midtjylland are adding South Korean international Hong Hyun-seok to strengthen their attack, bringing the 27-year-old in from Mainz on loan for the rest of the season.

Hong most recently spent time on loan at Belgian club Gent. He has played for Gent on several occasions and made 123 appearances for the club. His record also includes 23 matches for Mainz and 16 appearances for South Korea.

Midtjylland sports director Kristian Bach Bak described Hong as a player with “great international experience.” He said the South Korean can occupy several attacking positions, brings energy and technical quality, and can contribute intensity and creativity.
