Foundation Appeals for Aid for Young Girl Facing Lifelong Medical Battles

The "Humanity Without Borders" Foundation is issuing an urgent appeal for assistance for Tasha Vučković, a young girl whose life has been a relentless struggle against severe medical conditions since her very first moments. Born in Belgrade in April 2019 as the third child in her family, Tasha's journey has been marked by a series of critical health challenges.

Her early days were spent in intensive care due to breathing difficulties, followed by a prolonged stay at the Institute for Neonatology where she underwent surgery for hydrocephalus. Complications persisted, leading to further neurosurgical interventions and, subsequently, operations for a bilateral inguinal hernia. The medical complexities did not end there, with a suspected VP shunt malfunction requiring hospitalization in early 2020.

Despite these interventions, Tasha's psychomotor development has been severely impacted. By March 2021, it was confirmed she could not stand, walk, sit independently, or speak more than two words. Habilitation treatments in Serbia yielded limited results, prompting a move to Turkey in June 2021. There, she was diagnosed with a posterior fossa tumor, necessitating surgery. Her treatment abroad continued through 2021 and 2022, but it remains incomplete, requiring ongoing therapies, check-ups, and recovery efforts.

The Vučković family faces immense financial strain and is unable to cover the substantial costs associated with Tasha's continued care. This includes specialized and follow-up examinations, diagnostics, therapies, medications, supplements, orthopedic aids, translation services, and travel and accommodation expenses for her treatment abroad. The foundation implores kind-hearted individuals to contribute, offering Tasha a chance at a childhood she deserves – one where she can stand, speak, and thrive.
