The brutal murder of a young college student in Ketereh has sent shockwaves through the community, with police working diligently to uncover the motive behind the horrific crime. Initial reports circulating on social media, suggesting an unusually high number of stab wounds, have been clarified by the Kota Bharu District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd. Azmir Damiri. He confirmed that the post-mortem revealed 61 stab wounds, a grim tally that nevertheless corrects the exaggerated viral claims.

The victim, a 19-year-old student at Kolej Poly-Tech Mara (KPTM) Kota Bharu, was found tragically abandoned in Kampung Simah. The extensive nature of her injuries, spanning from her face to her feet, indicates a violent and sustained attack. The focus now shifts to the four individuals taken into custody – two 19-year-old youths and an older couple – as investigators work to piece together the events leading to this senseless act of violence.

A total of 61 stab wounds were found on the girl's body as per the official police statement previously issued. The stab wounds start from the face to the feet, with most injuries concentrated on the right side of the body, excluding scratches or minor cuts.

While the police have confirmed the arrests and are conducting thorough investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, the motive remains elusive. The relationship between one of the male suspects and the victim is reported to be that of friends, adding a layer of complexity to the inquiry.
