Greece's EFKA Announces May Pension Payment Schedule

The Greek social security agency, EFKA, has released the payment schedule for May pensions, a crucial piece of information for hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries across the country. This year, EFKA is implementing a staggered payment system, dividing recipients into two groups: those who are employed and those who are not. According to the announcement, pensioners who are not employed, including those from OAEE, OGA, and ETAA, as well as recipients of private sector pensions, will receive their payments on Friday, April 24, and Monday, April 27. This move is a slight adjustment from the initially proposed dates, bringing the payments forward to ensure beneficiaries have access to their funds sooner.

The public sector pensions, along with those for former employees of IKA-ETAM, banks, OTE, DEI, and other entities, will be paid on Monday, April 27. A notable detail is that pensioners will see the funds in their accounts on the afternoon of the preceding day. This means that payments scheduled for Friday will be available on Thursday, and those for Monday will appear on Friday.
