Gvidas Gineitis on the radar of legendary Scottish football club Celtic

Gvidas Gineitis, a 22-year-old Lithuanian national team midfielder playing for Italy's Serie A club Torino, has caught the eye of Scottish football giants Celtic.

Celtic is reportedly seeking a successor to Arne Engels, a player whose potential departure has also drawn attention from Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, and Roma, with these clubs prepared to offer around 20 million pounds sterling. British media reports indicate that German Bundesliga clubs are also monitoring Gineitis.

While Gineitis extended his contract with Torino last summer, valid for another three years, his agent, Dmitrijus Vinokurovas, stated that the Italian club is receptive to proposals. "Gvidas has continuously improved, and the club believes in his bright future. He is also an ambitious player," Vinokurovas said. "We have already received attention from other teams – this is natural, considering Gvido's age, play, and potential. If we receive interesting offers, they will be thoroughly considered."

Gineitis has already earned 32 caps for the Lithuanian national team. The midfielder, who hails from Mažeikiai, is valued at 5.5 million euros by Transfermarkt. He has been a regular for Torino's first team since 2023, appearing in 29 Serie A matches last season.
