GWAQ signs two strategic MoUs to expand global Waqf mission

Global Wakaf Al-Quran (GWAQ) has taken a significant step to broaden its global Waqf initiatives by signing two strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs). The agreements were finalized during the PERKIM International Conference 2026, signaling a commitment to extend Waqf efforts beyond Malaysia's borders.

The first MoU establishes a collaboration between GWAQ, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Malaysia (Perkim), Tulus Digital, and Islamica. This partnership is expected to leverage the strengths of each organization to enhance Waqf activities on an international scale.

The second MoU involves Perkim partnering with several entities, including ToyyibPay, i-Wealth X, MobilityOne, and the Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Melayu Terengganu. This multi-party agreement further solidifies the expanding network aimed at promoting and facilitating Waqf projects globally.
