Hanoi Secretary: Road connecting Đại Lộ Thăng Long to Hà Nội-Hòa Bình expressway to open before June 30

Hanoi Party Secretary Trần Đức Thắng has personally overseen the progress of several critical infrastructure projects, underscoring the city's commitment to urban development and environmental management. During recent site visits, Thắng emphasized the urgency of completing these projects, setting firm deadlines to ensure timely delivery and address pressing urban needs.

A key focus of the inspection was the Phú Đô regulating reservoir, designated as an emergency project crucial for mitigating flooding in the upcoming rainy season. The Party Secretary mandated the completion of land clearance by May 15, 2026, and the reservoir's construction by the end of June 2026. Similarly, the Mễ Trì regulating reservoir (Đồng Bông 2) is slated for completion by early May for its basin and by the end of June for its surrounding landscape and pathways.

Of particular significance is the highway connecting Đại Lộ Thăng Long to the Hà Nội-Hòa Bình expressway. Thắng declared this project vital for the development of Hanoi's western region and set a deadline of June 30, 2026, for its opening. Land clearance for this route is also to be finalized by May 10, 2026, with provisions for resettling affected residents. The inspection also covered the Seraphin waste-to-energy plant, with plans to bring another similar facility online by mid-2027, reflecting Hanoi's dedication to modern waste management solutions and environmental protection.
