Honda Embraces EV Era in Indonesia with Super-ONE Concept at GIIAS 2026

Honda is embracing the era of electrification in Indonesia with its "Culture. Evolved." theme at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026. The company is presenting a new visual identity and an open booth concept inspired by automotive community meet-ups, aiming to blend technological evolution with its signature driving pleasure.

The centerpiece of Honda's exhibit is the Super-ONE concept, marking the initial step in the company's electric vehicle journey in Indonesia. President Director Masanao Kataoka emphasized that Honda's evolution does not mean abandoning its core identity. "For Honda, evolution does not mean leaving its identity. Technology will continue to develop according to the needs of the times, but every innovation we present must still carry the character that makes every Honda car fun to drive. That is the philosophy we continue to hold as we enter a new era of mobility," Kataoka stated.

The booth itself is designed to be more open and interactive, fostering a community atmosphere where visitors can engage with the brand beyond just viewing vehicles. Honda is also highlighting its heritage, displaying models like the Honda S500, City Turbo, and CR-Z Mugen RZ, alongside its current lineup including the Brio, WR-V, BR-V, and various hybrid models. Performance culture is represented by the Civic Type R and a Brio used in national racing.

This display signifies Honda's commitment to adapting to future mobility trends while retaining the enjoyable driving experience that has defined the brand. The introduction of the Super-ONE concept signals a clear direction towards electric vehicles in the Indonesian market, promising a future where performance and sustainability coexist.
