Indonesia's Banten Customs grants fast-track bonded zone permit to boost exports

The Customs and Excise Office of Banten has expedited the process for granting a bonded zone facility to PT Suma Artha Perkasa, issuing the permit in less than an hour. This swift action underscores the office's commitment to supporting industrial competitiveness and driving national export growth.

Ambang Priyonggo, Head of the Banten Customs and Excise Regional Office, explained that the streamlined process involved a clear and transparent application, document review, site inspection, and business process presentation. "This stage aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the business processes to be undertaken and their potential economic impact as our consideration in issuing the bonded zone facility permit," Ambang stated.

Through the bonded zone facility, PT Suma Artha Perkasa will benefit from fiscal incentives, including deferred import duties, customs duty exemptions, and waivers on Value Added Tax (VAT), Luxury Goods Sales Tax (PPnBM), and Income Tax (PPh) Article 22 for specific activities. These incentives are designed to enhance operational efficiency and support business development.

PT Suma Artha Perkasa, located in Tangerang Regency, currently exports to the United States and is working to expand its market reach globally. The company has already realized an initial investment of $1 million and employs a workforce primarily from the local community.
