Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs allocates Rp 4.1 trillion for school operational aid

The Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs is set to disburse Rp 4.1 trillion in operational assistance for Madrasahs and Raudlatul Athfal (RA) in the second phase of the 2026 fiscal year. This significant funding aims to support the educational operations of private Islamic schools across the archipelago.

Director General of Islamic Education at the Ministry, Amien Suyitno, detailed that the total budget comprises Rp 3.7 trillion for Madrasahs and Rp 370 billion for RAs. This financial support is specifically allocated to approximately 52,000 private madrasahs and 31,000 RAs throughout Indonesia, ensuring their continued functioning and educational services.

The ministry has streamlined the application and verification process for these funds, moving it to a digital platform. This digital portal is intended to make the disbursement process more efficient. However, recipients are reminded of crucial prerequisites before accessing the second phase of funding.

To qualify for the second phase, all recipient madrasahs and RAs must first complete and submit their accountability reports (LPJ) for the first phase of the 2026 fiscal year. Nyayu Khodijah, Director of Curriculum, Facilities, Institutions, and Student Affairs (KSKK) of Madrasah at the Ministry, urged all involved institutions to promptly upload their required documents according to the set timeline, ensuring timely access to the operational funds.
