Jayawijaya Revenue Agency Targets Rp90 Billion PAD, Seeks Public Tax Payment Support

The Jayawijaya Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) in Papua Pegunungan is setting an ambitious target of Rp90 billion in Regional Original Revenue (PAD) for 2026, a substantial increase from the Rp75 billion goal for 2025. To achieve this, the agency is calling for strong public support, emphasizing the importance of timely tax and local levy payments.

Bapenda highlighted numerous existing revenue streams, including airport parking, trade, hotels, advertising, C-mining levies, and waste collection fees. The agency is also exploring new avenues for revenue generation, with videotron advertising identified as a key focus area due to its increasing prevalence in Jayawijaya for various events and sports broadcasts.

"We see that videotron usage is already busy in Jayawijaya, so we will try to push it into a tax object," stated Immanuel YAR Rumere, the Acting Head of Bapenda. Before implementing any new taxes or levies on videotron usage, Bapenda plans to conduct thorough studies and engage in consultations with relevant stakeholders.

Rumere urged leaders of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPDs) that contribute to the regional income to maximize local potential. He also reiterated the crucial role of public cooperation in meeting the PAD targets, stressing that consistent and timely payments are essential for the region's financial growth.
