Jorge Martin Wins 2026 British MotoGP Sprint at Silverstone

Aprilia rider Jorge Martin dominated the 2026 British MotoGP sprint race, securing victory at the Silverstone Circuit. Martin executed a perfect start and maintained his lead throughout the entire 10-lap event, fending off pressure from competitors.

Martin established an early gap, holding a consistent half-second lead over Ai Ogura. Marco Bezzecchi followed in third place. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez made an initial move up to fourth but struggled to maintain pace with the leading group.

As the race progressed, Marquez slipped down the order. He was overtaken by Bezzecchi, and subsequently by Alex Marquez and Pedro Acosta. Joan Mir and Franco Morbidelli also passed Marquez in the closing laps, leaving him in ninth place at the finish.

Behind Martin, Ai Ogura secured second place, with Marco Bezzecchi completing the podium in third. Alex Marquez finished fourth, followed by Fabio Di Giannantonio and Pedro Acosta. The results show a significant shake-up in the standings, with several prominent riders facing challenges.
