KAI Launches Shuttle Service Connecting Cirebon Station to Kuningan

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Daop 3 Cirebon has introduced a new shuttle service aimed at improving passenger convenience and regional connectivity. Starting June 29, 2026, the service will provide a feeder transport option for train passengers traveling to and from Kuningan Regency, West Java.

KAI Daop 3 Cirebon's Manager of Public Relations, Muhibbuddin, stated that the shuttle service is a strategic move to strengthen the integration of transportation modes. "KAI wants to ensure customers have ease in continuing their journey to various destinations through available onward transportation at the station," he explained. The initiative seeks to make Cirebon Station a modern and sustainable public transport hub, with plans to expand similar services to other stations in the region.

The shuttle will operate daily, connecting Cirebon Station to Kuningan with a fare of Rp 50,000 per person. The route covers Cilimus, Jalaksana, and Cirendang, with specific departure and arrival times provided for both directions. KAI is collaborating with a travel service provider for this operation.

Beyond passenger convenience, KAI anticipates the shuttle service will stimulate the local economy. By improving accessibility, the service is expected to boost tourism and business activities in Cirebon, Kuningan, and surrounding areas. "We hope customers will increasingly find it comfortable to choose trains because they don't have to worry about onward access after arriving at the station," Muhibbuddin added.

Local residents have expressed positive reactions. Taufik, a resident of Kuningan Regency, noted the affordability of the shuttle compared to existing online ride services. Dede, another resident, shared that the service eliminates the need for personal vehicle arrangements when traveling by train.
