Key Games Set for the Ninth Round of the Clausura: Kings-Gold and San José-Amambay

Olimpia Kings and Colonias Gold will meet Monday in one of the standout games of the ninth round of Paraguay’s 2026 National Basketball League Clausura tournament. The game will bring third-place Olimpia Kings against second-place Colonias Gold as both teams pursue league leader Deportivo San José.

The match is scheduled for 8 p.m. at the Armed Forces sports center. Colonias Gold will try to defeat Olimpia Kings, as it did in the first round. San Alfonzo of Minga Guazú will face Félix Pérez Cardozo at 8:30 p.m. at the Logistics Command, while Capiatá Bulls will host Deportivo Campoalto at the same time at the city’s cooperative sports center.

The round will conclude Tuesday with Deportivo San José hosting Deportivo Amambay at 8 p.m. at the León Coundou sports center.

After the first return-round match, Deportivo San José leads the standings with 16 points and a plus-160 point differential. Colonias Gold has 15 points and a plus-149 differential, while Olimpia Kings has 14 points and a plus-102 differential. Deportivo Amambay, Félix Pérez Cardozo, San Alfonzo and Deportivo Campoalto each have 10 points, while Capiatá Bulls has eight. Félix Pérez Cardozo and San Alfonzo have a game in hand against each other.
