Klaipėda Port Ushers in Cruise Season, Expects Record Tourist Numbers

Lithuania's gateway to the Baltic Sea, Klaipėda Port, is gearing up for what promises to be its most successful cruise season yet. With projections of over 90,000 tourists arriving on more than 60 vessels, the port is set to welcome a significant influx of international visitors. This surge in cruise tourism not only highlights Klaipėda's growing appeal as a destination but also underscores its strategic importance in the region's maritime economy.

The season, set to commence with the arrival of the Bahamian-flagged "MS Hamburg" this Saturday and conclude in mid-October, is expected to be particularly active in July, with 16 ships scheduled. A notable highlight will be June 17th, when Klaipėda anticipates hosting three cruise ships simultaneously, a testament to its expanding capacity and logistical capabilities. This year's forecast surpasses last year's figures, which saw 59 ships and over 76,000 tourists, signaling a robust recovery and growth trajectory.
