Kwara APC governorship aspirant pledges action on insecurity, welfare

As a governorship aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, I am formally launching my campaign with a clear vision for our beloved state. Submitting my Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms today marks the beginning of a journey to bring tangible change to Kwara. My primary focus will be on addressing the pervasive insecurity that has gripped our communities, from Kwara North to Kwara South. Bandit attacks have displaced many, creating humanitarian crises that demand immediate and decisive action. Restoring peace and ensuring the safety of lives and property will be paramount.

It is my wish, by the grace of God, to enhance the quality of life, health and make our people better than the way the situation is.

Beyond security, my administration will be dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all Kwarans. This means prioritizing access to quality healthcare, education, and social welfare programs. Governance must translate into real benefits for our citizens, touching their daily lives and well-being. We will pursue a people-centered vision, expanding opportunities and delivering responsive services across the state, with a special focus on agriculture, education, and health.

Most importantly, the issue of insecurity that has taken over the entire State – the Kwara North, the Kwara South, where I come from – most of the places are now deserted. There are so many humanitarian crises as a result of bandit attacks.

I am confident in my ability to succeed the incumbent governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, who has made his contributions. My ambition is to build upon existing progress and usher in an era of greater prosperity and security for Kwara State. The people of Kwara deserve better, and I am committed to delivering that promise.

This is one area which must be tackled head-on, and I want to say that it’s going to be one of the things that will top our agenda.
