Kyiv shaken: Zelenskyy changes military command amid war

A significant leadership shake-up in Kyiv, initially framed as a routine administrative update, has evolved into a serious crisis for President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's administration. The changes, announced on July 12, were officially attributed to the need for an "updated political strategy" and a more agile government capable of responding to the rapidly changing realities of the ongoing war.

However, what began as a governmental reshuffle quickly intensified over ten days, leading to the departure of key figures. Mihailo Fedorov was removed from his post at the Ministry of Defense, and subsequently, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, was dismissed.
