Today, we are gathered to officially launch the Lagos Emergency Responder Management System, popularly known as LERMS, a transformative digital platform designed to revolutionise emergency management and response coordination across our state.

The Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Relations, Gbenga Oyerinde, aptly described LERMS as a cornerstone in building “a safer, smarter, and more responsive Lagos.” The platform’s integration of diverse emergency services—from LASAMBUS and LASTMA to the Fire Service and various security agencies—into a single, cohesive network is a testament to the government's commitment to leveraging technology for the public good. The introduction of a multi-tier control center ensures that distress calls are managed effectively, resources are deployed rapidly, and coordination among first responders is seamless.
