Lam Dong Traffic Police bring safe driving education to residents

Traffic Police in Vietnam's Lam Dong province are pioneering a new approach to road safety education, blending theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical driving experience. The initiative aims to enhance public understanding and adherence to traffic laws.

A recent event organized by the Ma Da Guoi Traffic Police Station in coordination with local authorities and businesses attracted over 1,000 residents in Da Huoai commune. Participants received comprehensive instruction on safe driving skills, including balance, hazard perception, emergency braking, and reacting to unexpected situations. They also learned essential vehicle safety checks, such as inspecting brakes, lights, and tires to prevent accidents.

Beyond practical skills, the program featured direct discussions on road traffic safety laws, utilizing visual aids like images and videos of actual accidents that occurred in the region. Officers analyzed accident causes, highlighting common violations such as speeding, lane misuse, drunk driving, and complacency on familiar routes. The initiative also included the distribution of 200 standard helmets and free oil changes, further promoting safety awareness and responsible vehicle maintenance.
