We must question why abundant harvests do not translate into affordable staples for the people. The reliance on imports and the long supply chains exacerbate the problem, making Indonesian rice more expensive than in other nations. This situation directly affects household budgets and national food security, demanding urgent and effective solutions beyond mere assurances of stock availability. The government's focus must shift towards streamlining distribution and addressing the root causes of increased production and logistics costs to ensure that the bounty of our harvests truly benefits the Indonesian people.
