Malaysia slams US Congress members' 'rude' interference on Israeli expulsion policy

Malaysia's government has issued a stern rebuke to eight U.S. Congress members who expressed dissatisfaction with the nation's policy of expelling Israelis. The lawmakers' intervention was described as "rude" and an attempt to interfere with Malaysia's sovereign rights.

We will not remain silent and will certainly send a very clear message to the U.S. Embassy. Do not interfere in internal affairs, including immigration issues for Malaysia.

Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil, the Unity Government spokesperson and Minister of Communications, emphasized that Malaysia is a sovereign nation and will not tolerate interference in its internal affairs, particularly concerning immigration. He stated that the Malaysian government would deliver a clear message to the U.S. Embassy, warning against meddling in domestic matters.

"Our country is a sovereign nation. If any party, any individual is found to have violated the terms, then we have the power, we have the right to expel them."

The government also reaffirmed its strict policy regarding the "Network School" issue, which allegedly involved Israeli citizens with dual nationality residing in the Forest City area. The Cabinet has taken a firm stance, stating that the country will not compromise on this matter. Investigations are ongoing into 11 individuals suspected of holding dual citizenship, though no Israeli nationals have been identified among those questioned by immigration authorities so far.
