Man, 38, dies after truck hits height restrictor in Colonia

A fatal traffic accident occurred in Nueva Palmira, Colonia, on Friday, resulting in the death of a 38-year-old truck driver. The incident happened when the man's vehicle struck a height restrictor barrier, according to a statement from the Colonia Police Department.

Authorities received a 911 call around 10:30 AM reporting the crash on Bravo Street. Responding officers from Seccional 4.ª of Nueva Palmira found the truck lodged against the height restrictor, with the driver trapped inside the cabin. An emergency medical team arrived and confirmed the driver's death at the scene.

Firefighters and medical personnel worked at the location. The deceased driver was identified by his initials as M.S.B.G. Forensic police investigated the site to determine the exact causes of the collision. The Colonia Prosecutor's Office was also informed about the incident.
