Melaka PAS Youth Wants Continued Cooperation with UMNO

The PAS Youth wing in Melaka has officially decided to continue its political cooperation with UMNO for the upcoming Melaka state election. The resolution was unanimously passed during the 51st Melaka PAS Youth Muktamar held in Jasin.

In the muktamar, we have passed a motion for the cooperation between PAS and UMNO to continue, especially in facing the upcoming Melaka PRN.

Zulhilmi Suboh, the Chief of PAS Youth Melaka, stated that the decision reflects the wing's view that cooperation between the two parties is essential for the upcoming polls. He emphasized that this move is not just about the election but a broader effort to consolidate Malay-Islam political strength for the stability and future of Melaka.

This motion received unanimous support from the delegates, and we will bring this decision to the state PAS leadership for further action and discussion.

This approach aligns with the national 'ummah unification' (penyatuan ummah) agenda championed by PAS Youth leadership. Zulhilmi expressed hope that the leadership of both PAS and UMNO would seriously consider this proposal and find common ground for the benefit of the people.

We see this cooperation not just as an election matter, but as an effort to unite Malay-Islam political strength for the stability and future of Melaka.

PAS Youth Melaka has also declared its readiness to play a proactive role in mobilizing grassroots support for this unity initiative, should the top leadership approve. The wing is focused on strengthening its machinery and operations across all constituencies, ensuring members and supporters are prepared for the election. They are committed to working at the grassroots level and reinforcing community ties.
