Mercedes-Benz is making a significant play in the premium electric SUV segment in China with the introduction of the long-wheelbase (LWB) GLC electric vehicle. This variant, tailored specifically for the Chinese market, directly challenges rivals like the BMW iX3 LWB and underscores the German automaker's focus on catering to the unique demands of this crucial automotive market.

The most striking feature of the GLC L EV is its three-row, six-seat layout. This configuration, particularly the executive-style captain's chairs in the second row with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, highlights a clear emphasis on passenger comfort and luxury, a key consideration for families and those who value chauffeur-driven experiences.
