In Osun State, the police command has issued a public appeal for help in locating the family of a 70-year-old woman found wandering. The woman, identified as Shifawu Alabi, was discovered on April 24, 2026, by a concerned citizen who brought her to the police station. Alabi stated that she is from the Oja-Oba area in Ibadan, but she was unable to provide a coherent explanation of how she arrived in Ofatedo or where she was headed. On 24/04/2026, a Good Samaritan from Tiwadayo Street, Ofatedo brought to the police one elderly woman found wandering around the area. On interview, she gave her name as Shifawu Alabi ‘F’, aged about 70 years of Oja-Oba area, Ibadan. She could not give any satisfactory account of where she was going or coming from.

The command's Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Ojelabi, shared the notice, emphasizing the need for public dissemination to facilitate a reunion. This case echoes similar instances where public cooperation and police intervention have successfully reunited missing persons with their loved ones.
