Mother and Son Perish in Fiery Tanker Crash While Traveling to Meet Husband

A tragic accident claimed the lives of a mother and her son when their car was crushed and engulfed in flames by an overturned fuel tanker. The victims, identified as Nur Fatima Syuhada Abdullah, 39, and her 12-year-old son, Muhamad Fattah Aisy Naufal Saifulnizam, were en route to meet her husband, Saifulnizam Sulaiman, in Seremban.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on the Temerloh-Triang road near Kampung Lebak. The tanker, reportedly carrying approximately 32,000 liters of petrol and diesel, skidded and overturned, falling directly onto the victims' car. Both mother and son sustained fatal burns in the ensuing fire.

For 14 years we were together, she never did that. When I saw news of an accident on the Temerloh-Triang road on social media, my heart sank, thinking it might be my wife and child.

Saifulnizam recounted his growing unease when his wife failed to respond to messages and calls around 5 p.m., a departure from their usual communication during her travels. He expressed his devastation, having last seen his family the previous Tuesday. He was only able to confirm their deaths upon arriving at the hospital after midnight, having seen a dashboard camera recording that showed the moments before the tanker overturned.
