Nasarawa State Governor Appoints Eight New Commissioners

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has appointed eight new commissioners, signaling a move to bolster his administration and improve service delivery. The announcement was made by the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, during a plenary session in Lafia.

The nominated individuals represent various local government areas within the state. They include Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo and Adamu Rabecca Kpadji from Wamba LGA; Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed and Ashefo Daniel Paul from Lafia LGA; Hon. Mohammed Baba Shehu from Keffi LGA; Hon. Mohammed Iyimoga from Obi LGA; Nawani Aboki from Doma LGA; and Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim from Nasarawa LGA.

Following the announcement, the Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to formally notify the nominees. They are required to submit 30 copies of their curriculum vitae in preparation for their screening, which is scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2026. The appointments are contingent upon the successful screening and subsequent confirmation by the State House of Assembly.
