This operation, part of 'Operation Sharar Mafaka,' targeted and dismantled several drug joints, leading to the arrest of six individuals.

The NDLEA Kano Strategic Command under the leadership of CN DY Lawal has conducted a successful raid of the Bayero University Kano old site area, arresting six trespassers involved in illicit drug activities and dismantling several drug joints.

The raid was prompted by formal complaints from the university's management, who expressed growing concerns over the use of areas surrounding the institution for drug trafficking and substance abuse. This trend poses a significant threat to students, staff, and the wider community, highlighting the critical need for such enforcement actions.

NDLEA Kano Commander, CN DY Lawal, led the operation, which resulted in the apprehension of suspects and the seizure and destruction of drug-related paraphernalia. This action underscores the agency's commitment to creating a secure and drug-free environment, particularly around educational facilities where young people are vulnerable.

Acting on a formal complaint from the management of Bayero University, the command moved swiftly under ‘Operation Sharar Mafaka’ to dislodge individuals who had been using parts of the university precincts and adjacent areas for the trading and consumption of illicit substances.
