Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar casts vote in state election

Aminuddin Harun, the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, fulfilled his civic duty by casting his vote in the 16th Negeri Sembilan State Election. He voted at Institut Perguruan Raja Melewar in Sikamat on Saturday morning.

Harun, who is also the Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for the Linggi state constituency, arrived at the polling station around 8:33 AM. Demonstrating his commitment to the electoral process, he joined the queue with other voters and waited patiently for his turn, declining any special treatment. He completed his vote by 9:00 AM.

Speaking to reporters after voting, the Negeri Sembilan PH Chairman expressed his satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the election. He noted the favorable weather conditions and the tranquil atmosphere at the polling station, contributing to a positive voting experience.

Harun is not defending the Sikamat seat, which he won in the 2023 election with a majority of 2,662 votes. Instead, he is contesting in the Linggi constituency, considered a stronghold for Barisan Nasional (BN). The Linggi seat features a three-cornered contest involving Harun, the incumbent Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli of BN, and Datuk Zamri Md Said from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).

Before leaving the polling station, Harun took time to interact with and take photos with voters who approached him, further engaging with the community on election day.
