New Chennah assemblyman thanks Anthony Loke, vows to serve constituents

Newly elected Chennah assemblyman Siow Kong Choon has thanked outgoing representative Anthony Loke for his service over three terms. Kong Choon, who secured victory in the recent state election, stated his immediate priority is serving the constituents of Chennah.

"I would like to thank Yang Berhormat Anthony Loke Siew Fook for his services and contributions during his three terms in Chennah," Kong Choon said after his swearing-in ceremony at the Balairung Seri, Istana Besar Seri Menanti.

He acknowledged the challenging campaign but expressed gratitude for the strong support from the Barisan Nasional and MCA machinery, as well as his team. Kong Choon emphasized that with the campaign concluded, his focus is solely on initiating his service to the Chennah residents.

Kong Choon won the Chennah seat with 5,726 votes, defeating incumbent Anthony Loke, who is also the Secretary-General of DAP, with 5,038 votes.
