New Running Track to Be Added Around Kuchajda Lake

Residents of Bratislava's Nové Mesto district can look forward to enhanced recreational opportunities as a new running track is set to be constructed around the popular Kuchajda Lake. The local municipality has confirmed that the contract with the contractor has been signed, and the construction site will be handed over next week, signaling the commencement of this much-anticipated project.

The initiative aims to transform the area surrounding the lake by creating a dedicated running path that will naturally follow the existing trails. In addition to the track, the project will incorporate a soft sports surface, making it more comfortable and safer for runners and walkers. The completed circuit is expected to measure approximately 1.5 kilometers, offering a convenient loop for exercise enthusiasts.

While the development promises significant improvements, the municipality has cautioned the public about temporary restrictions that will be implemented during the construction phase. Certain sections around the lake will be temporarily closed, but detour routes will be established to ensure continued access for visitors. Residents and visitors are advised to exercise increased caution when moving through the area in the coming weeks as the work progresses.
