Nine Injured in Serious Traffic Accident in Batman

A serious traffic accident occurred in Batman's Gercüş district, leaving nine people injured. The incident, which took place near the Başova village stop, involved a collision between two automobiles. Reports indicate that one of the vehicles plowed into the bus stop structure itself, while the other was thrown to the roadside due to the force of the impact. Multiple gendarmerie and emergency medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Several individuals were trapped inside the vehicles and required extensive efforts from medical personnel to be extricated. Two of the injured were taken to Gercüş State Hospital, while seven others, including two in critical condition, were transported to Batman Training and Research Hospital. Gendarmerie forces secured the area and managed traffic flow, which returned to normal after the damaged vehicles were removed. An investigation into the cause of the accident has been launched by the gendarmerie.
