NPP Northern Regional Chairman Mohammed Baantima Samba re-elected

Mohammed Baantima Samba has retained his position as the Northern Regional Chairman of Ghana's New Patriotic Party (NPP). Samba garnered 215 votes in the election, comfortably surpassing his closest competitor, Amadu Inusah, who received 122 votes. A total of 387 votes were cast in the election.

Other party executives were also elected, including Ayamba Yelmagli as First Vice Chairman, Dr. Abdul Rahman Karim Kpala as Regional Secretary, and Husseini Abubakari Saddiq as Treasurer. Hajia Suraiya Manan will serve as Women's Organiser, Mohammed Ibrahim as Nasara Organiser, and Salifu Abdul Rashid as Organiser. Yussif Danjuma was elected Communication Officer, and Abdul Rahman Mahama as Second Vice Chairman.

In his acceptance speech, Samba thanked the delegates for their confidence and stated that his re-election provides a clear mandate to lead the party as it prepares for the 2028 general election. He acknowledged the responsibility that comes with the victory and vowed to work harder to fortify the party and position it for success.
