Ogun Ex-Commissioner Emerges APC Consensus Candidate for Reps Seat

In a significant political development in Ogun State, Mrs. Adijat Adeleye, the immediate past Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, has been endorsed as the consensus candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ifo/Ewekoro federal constituency. This consensus was reached at a stakeholders' meeting held at the residence of Chief Joju Fadairo, signaling a unified front for the upcoming 2027 elections. Adeleye's emergence is seen as a testament to the APC's commitment to internal democracy and equitable representation within the party.

Having officially picked her nomination and expression of interest forms, Adeleye has pledged to deliver "qualitative representation" that will enhance both social and infrastructural development across the Ifo and Ewekoro local government areas. Her background as a two-term lawmaker representing Ifo Constituency 2 at the state assembly between 2011 and 2019 provides her with a deep understanding of the constituency's needs and challenges.
