One Ton of Banned Agricultural Fertilizers Seized in Qalyub

In a significant move to ensure market stability and protect consumer rights, the Qalyubia Governorate's Supply and Internal Trade Directorate has successfully confiscated a substantial quantity of banned agricultural fertilizers. This operation, conducted as part of a rigorous campaign in the Qalyub district, underscores the authorities' commitment to combating illicit trade and safeguarding the agricultural sector.

The Directorate, under the supervision of Dr. Tamer Salah Mokhtar, seized approximately one ton of agricultural fertilizers belonging to the Ministry of Agriculture that are prohibited from being traded in the open market. These fertilizers were discovered within two local fertilizer trade establishments. This action is crucial in preventing the spread of unregulated or potentially harmful agricultural inputs and ensuring that only approved products reach our farmers.

Beyond the seizure of banned fertilizers, the campaign also addressed a range of other violations. Several administrative and supply offenses were documented, including the operation of businesses without the necessary licenses and failures to display prices clearly. Citations were issued to a supermarket, a car oil shop, a tourist bakery, and another bakery for various infractions, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to market oversight.
