The Ademola Adeleke administration in Osun State has forcefully pushed back against opposition claims of financial mismanagement, presenting a robust defense of its public spending. Olawale Rasheed, the governor's spokesperson, speaking on Westernspring Television, categorically denied accusations of squandering state resources, labeling them as "false and misleading."

Rasheed specifically targeted allegations that Governor Adeleke spent ₦92 billion on feeding, calling such claims "a lie from the pit of hell" and attributing them to either "mischief or financial illiteracy." He explained that government expenditures are complex and distributed across numerous agencies and sectors, making it inaccurate to isolate single items or offices. The administration insists it operates strictly within procurement laws, prioritizing "value for money" in all its projects.

Furthermore, the spokesperson highlighted the administration's commitment to a "local content" approach, championing the use of Osun-based professionals and contractors.
