Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has declared that the August 15 governorship election will be free and fair, asserting that any attempts to rig or steal the votes will fail. Addressing supporters at a rally in Oke-Ila, Ifedayo Local Government Council Area, Adeleke emphasized that the will of the people would prevail.

The governor contrasted his campaign's focus on connecting with the people and delivering development with that of his opponents. "We are getting the votes; they are chasing motor parks. We are winning the people; they are shooting at the people," he alleged. Adeleke assured that Osun people are resilient and will not be intimidated by attacks or threats, stating, "Osun people are not scared. All these attacks and war mongering only hardened our people."

During the town hall meeting, the Oke Ila monarch praised Governor Adeleke for bringing significant development to the state, aligning with his chieftaincy title of "Soludero of Oke Ila" by ensuring good governance reached all corners. The royal father also suggested Ifedayo as an ideal location for developing tourism and sporting facilities, citing its conducive landscape for academies, resorts, and mountain hiking.
