Over 80kg of Marijuana Found on São Paulo FC Team Bus in Bolivia

A major drug bust has rocked Brazilian football club São Paulo after authorities found over 80 kilograms of marijuana on their team bus in Bolivia. The discovery was made during a routine police inspection as the club was in the country for a Copa Sudamericana match.

Bolivian police intercepted the bus and found the substantial quantity of drugs, leading to the immediate arrest of three drivers and the seizure of the contraband. The club had to arrange for a replacement bus for its players, who were reportedly unaware of the situation until they reached their destination in Santa Cruz.

The incident has cast a shadow over the Copa Sudamericana match between Bolívar and São Paulo, which concluded in a 1-1 draw. While the players were seemingly uninvolved, the scandal has nonetheless tarnished the club's reputation and overshadowed their performance on the field.

During the vehicle inspection, exactly 86.5 kilograms of marijuana were discovered. The police immediately arrested the three drivers and seized the discovered narcotics.
