Paraguayan Robbery Suspect Killed in Shootout with Brazilian Police

A Paraguayan citizen, identified as Charles Antonio Giménez Martínez, 32, met a tragic end in Brazil, shot and killed by agents of the Brazilian Border Operations Department (DOF). The incident occurred in Aral Moreira, Brazil, approximately 50 kilometers from Pedro Juan Caballero, Paraguay. Giménez Martínez was reportedly in possession of a Toyota Hilux pickup truck that had been stolen the previous night during an international football match in Pedro Juan Caballero.

According to Paraguayan police officials, the deceased had a criminal record, including multiple charges for aggravated robbery and theft. The stolen vehicle was reported missing by its owner shortly after the match concluded.
