PDI Perjuangan West Java Donates IDR 145 Million to Bandung Zoo for Animal Feed and Staff

The PDI Perjuangan party in West Java has stepped in to support the Bandung Zoo during its operational shutdown and license revocation. Recognizing the critical need to care for the animals and support the zoo's employees, party cadres and regional heads have collectively donated IDR 145 million. This initiative, guided by party chair Megawati Soekarnoputri, underscores the party's commitment to 'gotong royong' or mutual cooperation, a core principle of their political struggle.

This intervention highlights the party's dedication to ensuring the welfare of the animals and the livelihoods of the zoo staff during this uncertain period. Bambang Mujiarto, Chairman of Commission II of the West Java DPRD, emphasized that the party will continue to provide assistance until an official management is appointed. The funds are earmarked for essential animal feed and outstanding social security contributions for employees.
