Pertamina Adjusts Prices for Pertamax Turbo and Non-Subsidized Solar

State-owned energy giant PT Pertamina (Persero) has announced a price adjustment for several fuel types in specific regions, effective May 4, 2026. This move reflects the dynamic nature of global energy markets and Pertamina's ongoing efforts to manage fuel distribution and pricing.

The most notable changes involve non-subsidized fuels. Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) has seen an increase, climbing to Rp 19,900 per liter from Rp 19,400 in April. Similarly, Pertamina Dex (CN 53) and Dexlite (CN 51) have also experienced significant hikes, reaching Rp 27,900 and Rp 26,000 per liter, respectively. These adjustments are likely influenced by fluctuations in crude oil prices and international market dynamics.

However, Pertamina has maintained the prices for Pertamax (RON 92) at Rp 12,300 per liter and Pertamax Green (RON 95) at Rp 12,900 per liter. Crucially, subsidized fuels, including Pertalite (Rp 10,000 per liter) and Biosolar (Rp 6,800 per liter), remain unaffected by these changes. This decision underscores the government's commitment to protecting lower-income households from the full impact of global price volatility.

Meanwhile, private fuel retailer BP Indonesia has also adjusted its prices. BP Ultimate Diesel has risen sharply to Rp 30,890 per liter from Rp 25,560 in mid-April. However, BP's gasoline offerings, BP Ultimate and BP 92, remain at Rp 12,930 and Rp 12,390 per liter, respectively. These varied pricing strategies among fuel providers highlight the competitive landscape within Indonesia's energy sector.
