PM Marape welcomes Timor-Leste President for Bilateral Talks and Melanesian Oceans Summit

Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape has officially welcomed His Excellency Dr. José Ramos-Horta, the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, to Port Moresby. President Ramos-Horta's visit, spanning from May 10th to 13th, underscores the deepening relationship between our two nations and presents a crucial opportunity to bolster our bilateral ties.

The agenda for this high-level engagement includes significant discussions aimed at strengthening the growing partnership between Timor-Leste and Papua New Guinea. Beyond the bilateral talks, the summit also marks the inaugural Melanesian Oceans Summit, highlighting a shared commitment to the stewardship and protection of our vital marine resources within the Melanesian region.
