Police Rescue Mother and Children from Burning Oreokastro Home

In a dramatic turn of events on Saturday night, the quiet suburb of Oreokastro in Thessaloniki was shaken by a fierce fire that engulfed the top floor of a three-story residence. The swift response of emergency services, however, prevented a potential tragedy. Responding to the emergency call at 21:10, officers from the Oreokastro Police Department arrived at the scene and bravely entered the smoke-filled building.

Their quick thinking and courage were instrumental in rescuing a 36-year-old woman and her three minor children, who were trapped inside the burning structure. Thanks to the officers' decisive action, all four individuals were safely evacuated and, according to initial reports, are in good health.
