Poll Shows Arthur Henrique Leading Roraima Governor Race with 60%

Arthur Henrique of the Liberal Party (PL) is leading the gubernatorial race in Roraima with a significant 60% of voter intentions, according to a new poll by Quaest released Thursday. This marks a strong position for Henrique, who recently won a supplementary election for the state government.

Despite winning the interim mandate election in June with 60.87% of the vote, Henrique's victory was not officially proclaimed due to legal disputes over candidate disqualification deadlines. He is now seeking to solidify his position in the upcoming election.

Trailing Henrique is Soldado Sampaio (Republicanos), the current president of the Legislative Assembly of Roraima, who garnered 27% in the poll. Sampaio, who is serving as interim governor since the disqualification of the 2022 elected slate, secured 35.72% in the recent supplementary election.

The poll also indicates that other candidates, including Rosi Aires (PSOL) with 1%, Farah Mesquita (Solidariedade), and Clébio Genuíno (PCO) who did not score, are far behind. Additionally, 9% of voters remain undecided, while 3% plan to cast blank or null votes.

The Quaest survey, commissioned by Grupo Rede Amazônica, interviewed 804 voters from August 23 to 26. It has a 95% confidence level and a maximum margin of error of 3 percentage points.
