Poll shows incumbent Ricardo Ferraço leading in Espírito Santo governor race

Current governor Ricardo Ferraço is leading the race for the Espírito Santo state government, according to the latest poll from Quaest released on Thursday. Ferraço, who assumed office in April following the departure of Renato Casagrande to run for the Senate, holds 35% of voter intentions.

Trailing Ferraço is Lorenzo Pazolini, the former mayor of Vitória and a re-elected official from 2024. Pazolini garners 28% of the vote intentions, establishing him as the primary competitive opposition to the incumbent governor.

The Espírito Santo gubernatorial election features three other candidates. Federal deputy and former mayor of Cariacica, Helder Salomão, represents the left and holds 10% of intentions. Breno Barcelos, in his first electoral bid, has 2%, and federal public servant Rafael Demuner is at 1%.

The Quaest poll, the first conducted after candidate registrations and the campaign's start on August 16, surveyed 804 voters from August 23 to 26. It is registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under numbers ES-04444/2026 and BR-06255/2026. The survey boasts a 95% confidence level, with a maximum margin of error of 3 percentage points.
