Pradi Supriatna Calls on Public to Help Safeguard Prabowo’s Government Until the End

Pradi Supriatna has called on the public to stand alongside President Prabowo Subianto’s government until the end of its term, saying development programs need consistent public support and participation.

The West Java Regional Legislative Council member and chairman of the Depok branch of the Gerindra Party said political tensions were part of the democratic process. But he urged people not to be easily swayed by information or issues that could divide society and disrupt government stability.

“Most importantly now is how we safeguard this government together until it finishes. Do not be easily provoked by parties that genuinely want to thwart or disrupt President Prabowo’s government,” Pradi told Republika on Wednesday morning.

He said political differences were normal, but national interests should come before group interests or short-term political priorities. People, he added, should assess information more critically, especially on social media, because not everything circulating online could be held accountable as true.

Pradi said the government needed room to work while remaining subject to constructive oversight. As a Gerindra cadre, he said he would continue supporting and monitoring Prabowo’s leadership, including by ensuring that public concerns reached the government and informed policy evaluation. “If a policy is not quite right, it should of course be criticized constructively and accompanied by input. But destructive criticism must not develop into an effort that divides society,” he said. He also urged residents of West Java, particularly Depok, to promote unity, mutual cooperation and maturity during national political tensions.
