President Prabowo Arrives at Parliament for Annual State Sessions

President Prabowo Subianto's convoy entered the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday morning at 8:05 AM, ahead of the 2026 Annual Session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) and the Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD). The presidential entourage, predominantly white vehicles, received tight security as it proceeded to the Nusantara Building.

President Prabowo utilized the Maung MV3 Garuda Limousine, a vehicle he frequently uses for state affairs, for his arrival to attend the significant state agenda commemorating Indonesia's 81st anniversary. His presence marks a key moment in the day's proceedings, which are central to the nation's legislative and governance calendar.

The Annual MPR Session and the Joint DPR-DPD Session are scheduled from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Following a break, the DPR will convene for a plenary session at 2:30 PM. During the annual and joint sessions, President Prabowo is expected to deliver a report on the performance of state institutions and national development achievements. The leaders of the MPR and DPD, Ahmad Muzani and Sultan Najamudin respectively, will also deliver their addresses.

In anticipation of the presidential motorcade and the associated state agenda, the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate has prepared situational traffic diversions around the Parliament Complex. Deputy Director of Traffic, AKBP Arif Fazlurrahman, advised the public to anticipate potential traffic congestion in the Senayan area from early morning, as the President's State Address is slated to begin around 8:00 AM.
